President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, has expressed confidence that the FIFA Forward Project at the federation’s headquarters in Abuja will be completed within the stipulated two-year timeline.

Gusau gave the assurance while receiving officials from the Confederation of African Football (CAF), providing an update on the progress of the multi-million-dollar infrastructure project.
“The FIFA Forward Project is progressing according to schedule, and we remain committed to completing it within the agreed timeline,” Gusau said.
According to the NFF President, construction of the artificial training pitch has reached 80 per cent completion, while work on the accommodation facility is set to enter another phase with roofing scheduled to begin in the coming weeks.
The FIFA-funded project is expected to provide the federation with modern training facilities and improved accommodation for Nigeria’s national teams.
“The artificial pitch is almost completed, and roofing works on the hostels will commence soon. We’re satisfied with the pace of work so far,” he added.
Gusau noted that the project reflects the federation’s commitment to improving football infrastructure and creating a conducive environment for player development and national team activities.
The NFF believes the FIFA Forward Project will significantly enhance football operations in Nigeria by providing world-class facilities capable of supporting the growth of the game at all levels.
