Danish club Hobro IK have completed the signing of Nigerian striker Onyebuchi Obasi, Completesports.com reports.
Obasi joins the Danish side from Norwegian outfit Vålerenga after signing a three-year contract.
The 21-year-old becomes Hobro IK’s fourth signing of the summer transfer window.
He moved to Vålerenga from Nigerian academy Beyond Limits in 2024 before spending last season on loan at Swedish club FC Stockholm, where he continued his development.
Hobro IK Expect Big Things From New Signings
Hobro IK sporting director Lars Justesen expressed his delight following the arrival of Obasi at the club.

” Obasi has appeared via our network, after which we have scouted him thoroughly based on our data model,” Justesen told the club’s official website.
“We have been looking for an offensive player who is explosive, dribbling and fast and there Obasi was clear on these parameters.
” A type of player that we have lacked in our offensive, which is why I am happy that we have agreed with Vålerenga on a transfer of Obasi. He is a young player with great potential that we hope to redeem.”
Obasi Ready For New Beginning
Obasi is looking forward to a successful spell at the club.
“I am happy to switch to Hobro IK. A club I have already got a really good impression of and where I have felt welcome from day one. I have had good talks with head coach Jens Gjesing and sports manager Lars Justesen and I am sure that this change is right for me and my development,” he stated.
” I am looking forward to pulling the yellow shirt over my head and giving back to the club on the pitch. As a player, I am a fast and challenging type who always works hard for the team and I will do my part to ensure that we have a good season.”
