Nigeria’s U17 women’s team, the Flamingos, delivered another emphatic performance with a commanding 7-0 victory over Nazareth Queens, underlining their growing momentum ahead of crucial international assignments.
The Flamingos set the tone early, with Wuraola Deborah Olayiwola opening the scoring in the 8th minute. The early breakthrough gave the hosts control, and they doubled their advantage before halftime through Oluebube Jessica Umejiaku in the 34th minute to take a 2-0 lead into the break.

The second half saw a relentless attacking display as the Flamingos shifted into top gear. Harmony Chidi netted a quick-fire brace in the 48th and 54th minutes, effectively putting the game beyond reach. Oluwakemi Adegbuyi added a fifth from the penalty spot in the 59th minute, before Islamiyat Oluwatosin Yusuf and Favour Enodumwenben completed the rout with goals in the 62nd and 67th minutes respectively.
The result marks back-to-back dominant victories for the Flamingos, following their 6-0 win over Generation Next, highlighting a team in excellent form both offensively and defensively.
