Speaking on the future of Nigerian football leadership, Okparaku expressed strong belief that Okocha possesses the qualities needed to drive meaningful change within the system.

“He’s the right man,” he said.

According to the former defender, Okocha’s deep understanding of the game, combined with his experience at the highest level, makes him well-suited for the role.

“He understands football,” he implied.

Okparaku argued that Nigerian football needs leadership from individuals who have lived the game and can relate to both players and administrators.

“We need that experience,” he noted.

For him, Okocha’s influence and reputation could also help restore credibility and confidence in the federation.

“He can take us forward,” he added.

The suggestion comes amid ongoing debates about leadership within the NFF, with calls for reform and fresh ideas gaining momentum.

As discussions around the federation’s future continue, names of potential candidates are beginning to emerge, and Okocha remains one of the most respected figures in Nigerian football.

For Okparaku, the choice is clear.

Give the responsibility to someone who knows the game.

Trust experience.

And aim for progress.

Because in football, leadership matters.

And the right leader can change everything.
