Arsenal midfielder Eberechi Eze has praised the quality and creativity of his teammates following the Gunners’ convincing 3-0 victory over French side LOSC Lille in the UEFA Champions League, describing the experience of playing alongside them as enjoyable and rewarding.
The England international was among the goal scorers as Arsenal produced another impressive European performance, with Bukayo Saka playing an influential role in the attack.
Sports247 reports that Eze doubled Arsenal’s advantage in the 66th minute, finishing calmly after Saka created the opportunity with a well-timed pass.
Saka subsequently added his name to the scoresheet in the 71st minute, completing the 3-0 victory just seven minutes after his introduction.
Speaking after the encounter, Eze expressed satisfaction with the attacking opportunities his teammates created, emphasising the importance of intelligent movement and positioning.
“It’s a fun team to play in!” Eze declared.
“Opportunities are coming all over the place. You just have to be ready and be in the right spaces, the right places to get on the end of things.”
His comments highlighted the attacking understanding developing within the Arsenal squad, where players are increasingly finding ways to create chances through movement, combination play and effective decision-making.
For Eze, being surrounded by creative players means opportunities can emerge from different areas of the pitch, making anticipation and positioning essential.
Bukayo Saka demonstrated his attacking influence after coming off the bench, contributing directly to two of Arsenal’s goals.
The winger played a crucial role in Eze’s 66th-minute strike, moving the ball across to his teammate, who applied a composed finish to extend Arsenal’s lead.
Five minutes later, Saka found the back of the net himself, putting the result beyond Lille’s reach.
His ability to influence the encounter within minutes of his introduction further underlined his importance to Arsenal’s attacking options. Eze’s goal represented another encouraging moment as he continues to develop his understanding with his teammates.
The midfielder’s technical ability, creativity and intelligent positioning make him a valuable option in Arsenal’s attacking setup.
His comments after the victory also reflected the positive atmosphere within the squad, with players enjoying the freedom to express themselves while contributing to collective success.
For Arsenal, the convincing victory provided another confidence boost in their Champions League campaign.
For Eberechi Eze, however, the greatest satisfaction goes beyond scoring. Playing in a team where opportunities are constantly created makes every attacking move an opportunity to contribute — and against Lille, he made his moment count.
