Canadian rapper Drake is betting big on Irishman Conor McGregor in the fighter’s return to the UFC.
McGregor is set to take part in UFC 329 in Las Vegas on Saturday – marking his return to the popular mixed martial arts promotion for the first time in nearly five years.
Ahead of his fight against Max Holloway, the rapper dropped a massive bet for McGregor to return to his previously dominant ways.
Drake revealed on Instagram that he put a $1million bet on McGregor to win the bout.
If he’s successful, the ‘Nice For What’ rapper would earn a $2.85million payout.
The rapper has had a mixed history when it comes to sharing his bets on social media, especially considering his support occasionally led to what has been deemed the ‘Drake Curse.’

Recently, he won $1million on a bet of $770,000 when he picked Canada to beat South Africa in the Round of 32 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
In an attempt to pull a ‘reverse curse’ for his country, Drake won $1 by betting against Canada in their Round of 16 matchup against Morocco.
The NHL has not been as kind to Drake as soccer has. Bets for the Edmonton Oilers to win the 2024 Stanley Cup and for the Toronto Maple Leafs to win the 2025 second round were unsuccessful – with the Florida Panthers beating both teams each time and the rapper taking a combined loss of $1.5million.
McGregor hasn’t taken to the octagon since 2021 when he fought Dustin Poirier at UFC 264.
That fight ended when McGregor suffered a devastating leg break on an attempted kick.
Holloway recently lost to Charles Oliveira at UFC 326 in March – marking his second loss in his last three bouts.
