Jakub Kiwior has left Arsenal on a permanent deal for Porto
Arsenal have confirmed the departure of Jakub Kiwior to FC Porto on a permanent move following a loan spell with the Portuguese side. football.london understands that an agreement was reached last summer that would see Kiwior join for a fee of £14.7million this summer.
There is a sell-on clause and add-ons included in the move. The deal in 2025 enabled Arsenal to sign Piero Hincapie from Bayer Leverkusen in a similar agreed deal, which also became permanent this summer for £34.5million plus add-ons football.london understands.
Kiwior joined Arsenal in the January transfer window of 2023, with both Leandro Trossard and Jorginho, from Spezia. He went on to make 68 appearances across all competitions under Mikel Arteta.

Mainly a left-sided defender, his highlight came in 2024/25 when he filled in for an injured Gabriel Magalhaes. This included the UEFA Champions League quarter-final clash with Real Madrid, which he helped see out with a 5-1 aggregate victory.
However, with the arrival of Riccardo Calafiori and then Cristhian Mosquera, it became far harder for the Pole to get opportunities. He had also played at left-back, but Myles Lewis-Skelly’s emergence further toughened up the obstacles.
In an interview with Łączy Nas Piłka, Kiwior explained the chat he had with the Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta regarding his future. “The earlier conversation, when I asked for the loan, was more difficult.
“I’d never done this before, but I felt the time had come to speak with him face to face. He understood me and supported me.”
Kiwior could face his former side in this season’s Champions League. Arsenal will be in Pot 1 of the competition while Porto will be in Pot 2.
