Huge expectations of a likely move to Olympique Marseille of France by Sevilla of Spain striker, Akor Jerome Adams may not see the light of day after all, as officials of his La Liga club are insisting on a fee of €25m for his transfer.

Sports247 gathered that Sevilla’s cost valuation for Adams is in contrast with what Marseille think about him, as the French Ligue 1 outfit from Stade Velodrome have set aside only €18m for the Super Eagles’ fast-rising hitman.
However, one factor going in Marseille’s favourr is that Sevilla are in need of a financial leverage to cover costs from this season’s campaign in the Liga, meaning they could be forced to accept what OM’s top brass put on the table for Adams.
The Seville-based side’s near desperation to meet up with financial regulations guiding the league could eventually force them to sell Adams, who enjoyed a big debut campaign as his club’s top scorer with 10 goals and three assists in 32 games.
A report by Fichajes adds, “The Nigeria international could be allowed to leave, as the Spanish outfit continues to navigate financial difficulties, with La Liga regulations requiring clubs to generate income through sales before new signings.
“Marseille are preparing an €18m offer for the forward, as they look to strengthen their squad in pursuit of the league title. However, Sevilla are holding out for closer to €25m and are not under pressure to sell below their valuation.”
