Former Nigeria international Eric Ejiofor has praised Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle for his impressive performances with the national team and urged Nigerians to remain patient with the Franco-Malian tactician.

Speaking after Nigeria extended its unbeaten run following the 2-2 draw against Poland, Ejiofor admitted he believes Chelle is the right man to lead the Super Eagles forward.
“I believe Eric Chelle is the perfect man for the job,” Ejiofor said.
According to the former Nigerian international, the positive changes within the team since Chelle’s arrival are already becoming visible.
“You can clearly see improvements in the team,” he implied.
Ejiofor also called on the Nigeria Football Federation to continue supporting and backing the coach long-term.
“The federation should hold on tightly to him,” he noted.
The former defender stressed that stability and patience are necessary if the Super Eagles hope to build a successful team again.
“Coaches need time to fully implement their ideas,” he added.
Nigeria remain unbeaten in normal time under Chelle as the team continues rebuilding ahead of future international competitions.
