Super Eagles forward Akor Adams has revealed the new identity being built under head coach Eric Chelle ahead of Nigeria’s international friendly clash against Poland.

Akor Adams stressed the team’s commitment to intensity, aggression, and pride in representing the nation as wanted by the coach.
Speaking ahead of Wednesday’s encounter, Adams described the atmosphere in camp as positive and energetic despite the demanding European season many of the players are coming from.
“That means a lot of positive vibes, a lot of energy, even though many of the guys have had many games in their legs through the season,” Adams said.
“But we’re focused, we’re working hard towards the two friendly games we have, and we’ll see what happens tomorrow.”
The striker also highlighted the tactical identity Chelle is trying to instill in the team since taking over the Super Eagles.
“We don’t have pressure because we don’t think about what records we are setting,” he explained.
“But since the gaffer took over, we have seen a new kind of identity being created in the Super Eagles, which is playing with a lot of intensity, being aggressive with or without the ball, and also trying to play good football.
“So we just try to keep the same DNA, make it part of us, and hopefully we get results in games. We are hoping to do the same tomorrow.”
Nigeria will face a strong Polish side in Warsaw as preparations continue ahead of the upcoming AFCON qualifiers, with Adams expressing excitement about the challenge.
“It’s always a privilege and a pleasure to put on the jersey for Nigeria,” he added.
“It’s my beloved country and I fight for the badge as much as I can every time. I hold it dear in my heart.”
“So playing against Poland in an international friendly, I’m really looking forward to it. It’s going to be exciting, the boys are ready, and we’ll try to get the best result possible before moving forward to Portugal.”
The Super Eagles will be aiming to maintain their impressive run under Chelle as they continue shaping a new era with a clear football philosophy and renewed fighting spirit.
