University of Miami star running back Jordan Lyle was detained on Thursday after a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Lyle was being sought by the Sunrise Police Department on charges of fleeing and eluding at a high speed as well as reckless driving, per the Broward State Attorney’s Office.
After being booked and processed, Lyle was released after posting a $55,000 bond.
In a statement to Local 10 News, a spokesperson for the University of Miami said, ‘We are aware of an incident involving student-athlete Jordan Lyle.ย
‘As due legal process runs its course, we will have no further comment at this time.’
The fleeing and eluding charge is deemed a felony while the reckless driving is a misdemeanor.
