Abdoulaye Agbejoye Hyped As ‘Next Haaland’ By Great Britain’s Sporting Media, Amidst Interest From Nottingham Forest

Grassrunners FC of Sagamu giant striker, Abdoulaye Agbejoye has become a celebrirty of sort in England, as the British media is already hyping him as ‘the next Haaland,’ amidst interest in his signature by Nottingham Forest.

Sports247 reports that, although nothing concrete has come through yet for Agbejoye at The City Ground, strong permutations are going in his favour that he could jolly well join fellow-Nigerians Taiwo Awoniyi and Ola Aina in their squad this summer.

Agbejoye would then be expected to enact the form that has made him a household name in Nigeria’s third-tier league, as he has excelled under the guidance of the team’s youthful yet hugely experienced tactician, Coach Daniel Itodo in the Nationwide League One (NLO).

Backed by a strong management that includes two ex-internationals, Dimeji Lawal and Edith Agoye, Agbejoye continues waxing strong week-in-week-out, to the extent that his exploits have now caught the attention of scouts from Nottingham as well as strong interest at Bayer Leverkusen of Germany.

Top echelon officials at Grassrunners FC backing the youngster include Gbenga Agbejoye (chief executive), Victor Adeola (executive director) and Bastian Sistemich (technical director), whose efforts guided the team to create a huge impact in this year’s National Youth League.

‘The Next Haaland’ is now set to reap from his efforts and the bounty of expert guidance he gets at Grasssrunners, as Agbejoye is just one step away from completing a switch to Forest, ahead of which the British sporting media is already agog with super reviews and promotional articles in his favour.

A report by UK’s Sun Sports reveals, “Nottingham Forest are tracking Nigerian wonderkid Abdoulaye Agbejoye, the towering teenage striker already being dubbed the ‘next Erling Haaland.’

“Forest scouts have been closely monitoring the progress of the highly-rated 18-year-old, who has emerged as one of the brightest young talents in African football after an outstanding season in Nigeria.

“Standing at a towering 6ft 5in, the powerful forward has drawn comparisons to Manchester City‘s prolific goal machine Erling Haaland because of his imposing physique, explosive pace and eye for goal.

“The teenager has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign after finishing as both the top scorer and Player of the Tournament in the Nigerian Youth League Cup, performances that have only strengthened interest from clubs across the continent and Europe.

“German champions Bayer Leverkusen have also registered their interest in the striker and are believed to have been tracking his progress. However, Forest are currently regarded as leading the race as they look to steal a march on their European rivals.”
