The leadership of Nigerian Grassroots Football Federation (NGFF) has extended a congratulatory message to one of their products, David Silver Chibuzor, following his appointment as the new club secretary at Abia Angels FC of Aba.
Sports247 reports that the congratulatory message, which was delivered by NGFF’s secretary-general, Pastor Oscar Ezinwa Emmanuel, described Chibuzor’s appointment as hugely merited and wished him well in his latest endeavours.
The NGFF scribe recalled how Chibuzor grew under the federation’s banner as a goalkeeper in their youth development project, National Grassroots Dream Team, then went on to become a scout, agent and coach of international repute.
He recalled that, after making his mark in the transfer of many young players to top clubs in Ghana, Chibuzor (fondly called Silva) relocated to Abia State to continue his football journey as a technical consultant.
While ‘TM Oscar’ wished the new appointee success in his latest assignment, Sports247 gathered further from a press release that Chibuzor’s appointment takes immediate effect.
The media statement added: “Abia Angels Football Club, Aba, is pleased to announce the appointment of Hon. David Silver Chibuzor as the new Club Secretary.
“Until his appointment, Hon. Silver – a native of Isiala Ngwa, Abia State and a trained football administrator – served as the Sporting Director of the club and was once Assistant Secretary of the NWFL Club Owners Association.
“His appointment takes immediate effect and is part of the ongoing restructuring plans by the Management to reposition the club for better performance ahead of the next NWFL Premiership season.
“Management is confident that his wealth of experience and deep understanding of the club will be vital in achieving our objectives for the new season.
“We congratulate Hon. Silver on his appointment and wish him success in his new role.”
