Fabrizio Romano has provided updates on Yan Diomande’s Real Madrid move, the futures of several Bernabeu youngsters, PSG’s pursuit of Maghnes Akliouche, Liverpool’s interest in Bradley Barcola and Al Hilal’s move for Iliman Ndiaye.
Yan Diomande to Real Madrid: Here We Go deal confirmed
Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Yan Diomande will become a Real Madrid player after the club completed the key steps of the agreement with RB Leipzig.
“Yan Diomande will be a Real Madrid player. Real Madrid are in contact to complete the formal steps of the deal with RB Leipzig. This will happen over the next week with the exchange of documents, the authorisation for medical tests, travel and contract signing,” Romano told his YouTube channel.
“Paris Saint-Germain are completely out of the race and are very upset with what happened. The deal is over. Yan Diomande will be a Real Madrid player and the transfer fee will be in excess of €100 million.
“This will also have consequences because Real Madrid have invested a lot in the market this summer. Bernardo Silva, Marco Correa, Denzel Dumfries, Ibrahima Konate and now Yan Diomande are joining.
“For Real Madrid, there are going to be more movements. It could be four or five more movements for sure in the upcoming weeks.”
Real Madrid consider loan options for Franco Mastantuono
Among those to leave the Bernabeu will be Franco Mastantuono, who is set to be shipped out on loan for the season.
“Franco Mastantuono could leave Real Madrid on loan in the summer transfer window,” Romano said.
“There are clubs in Italy, including Fiorentina, clubs in France and clubs in Spain interested. Franco Mastantuono can decide where he wants to go together with his agent, his family and Real Madrid.
“They will sit together and decide the best solution for Franco to go on loan, develop and return to Real Madrid, in a similar situation to Endrick.”
Raul Asensio future remains uncertain
Raul Asensio finds his place at Real Madrid now under question.
“Keep an eye on Raul Asensio. Jorge Mendes is helping with the future of the defender,” Romano added/
“There is a possibility for him to leave this summer. It could be a loan, it could be a permanent transfer, but Raul Asensio could leave Real Madrid in this summer transfer window.
“The player is still hoping to convince Jose Mourinho to continue at the club, but there could be movements for Raul Asensio.”
Fulham prepare approach for Gonzalo Garcia
Romano revealed that Fulham are preparing talks with Real Madrid over Gonzalo Garcia, with the structure of any possible deal set to be important.
“Fulham are ready to approach Real Madrid officially this week for Gonzalo Garcia,” he said.
“Talks will start, and then we have to see if they can reach an agreement with Real Madrid, not just on the transfer fee.
“It has to be, for sure, more than the €25 million or €30 million being reported tonight. It also has to be a permanent transfer, but Real Madrid will push to keep future control of the player.
“So it is not just about the price. It is also about the formula of the deal and whether they can make it work.”
Romano added that Fulham manager Alvaro Arbeloa has a strong relationship with Gonzalo Garcia and could play a key role.
“Don’t forget that Fulham’s coach is Alvaro Arbeloa,” he said. “Back in January, when Arbeloa replaced Xabi Alonso at Real Madrid, Endrick and Gonzalo Garcia were in different positions. With Xabi Alonso staying at Real Madrid, Endrick was going to stay as the striker and Gonzalo Garcia was going to go on loan, with Stuttgart and Italian clubs interested.
“But then Alvaro Arbeloa arrived at Real Madrid and told the club: Endrick can go on loan, I want Gonzalo Garcia to stay.
“Arbeloa loves Gonzalo Garcia and now wants him at Fulham.
“Cesar Palacios, another Real Madrid young talent appreciated by Arbeloa, could also be a topic between Real Madrid and Fulham.”
Bayern rule out Jamal Musiala departure
Romano then addressed reports linking Jamal Musiala with a surprise move away from Bayern Munich, insisting the player remains committed to the Bundesliga club.
“Bayern consider that the market is over for Jamal Musiala,” he said.
“There have been many reports over the last 24 hours from Turkey, including Galatasaray being linked with a move for Musiala as a dream target.
“Galatasaray, with a statement tonight, made clear that all these stories are fake news. Sources close to Musiala also make clear that he is staying at Bayern.
“People close to Musiala guarantee that the player is not going to leave and is not going to make any shock transfer to Galatasaray or Turkish clubs.
“Musiala wants to continue at Bayern. He had a complicated season with Bayern and Germany, that is the reality, but he was also returning from injury.
“It is never easy when you return from injury and your team already has several players performing very well.
“Bayern maintain maximum trust in Jamal Musiala, and the player wants to perform and succeed at Bayern.
“At the moment, that is the story. There is nothing else on this shock story with Galatasaray.”
PSG return to talks for Maghnes Akliouche
Following Diomande’s move to Real Madrid, Romano explained that Paris Saint-Germain will now focus on completing their deal for Maghnes Akliouche.
“PSG say goodbye to Yan Diomande, but in the next days PSG will be back at the table with Monaco for Maghnes Akliouche,” he said.
“There will be a new round of talks because PSG have an agreement with the player.
“But don’t forget that PSG also had an agreement with Yan Diomande in mid-June. Then you need to close the deal with the club.
“Paris Saint-Germain will now be in contact with Monaco to proceed and try to get the deal done for Maghnes Akliouche.
“We have to be attentive until the very end because PSG still have to close the deal club-to-club with Monaco.”
Bradley Barcola to Liverpool: No imminent deal
Romano also moved to calm expectations surrounding Bradley Barcola and Liverpool, insisting that while the player is keen, a deal will not happen immediately.
“I know everyone is jumping on the story now. Nobody was caring about Barcola and Liverpool in April, May, June or July. Now everyone is jumping on the story,” he said.
“But it does not mean Liverpool signed Barcola today. It is not a super-fast deal.
“It is going to take time. It is a complicated negotiation because it is a lot of money. You need to negotiate and discuss.
“The player is keen on the move, so I will tell you more on Barcola soon, but this was just to clarify and control the excitement around the story.”
Al Hilal open talks for Iliman Ndiaye
Finally, Romano revealed an exclusive update on Iliman Ndiaye, with Al Hilal exploring a possible deal for the Everton forward.
“Keep an eye on Al Hilal. They made a super signing with Crescencio Somerville by hijacking Roma’s move and signing Somerville, but Al Hilal are also interested in Iliman Ndiaye,” he said.
“This is exclusive news. There were zero links over the last few days, but now I can tell you that Al Hilal are working on a deal to sign Iliman Ndiaye.
“There is a negotiation, there is a conversation ongoing, and talks will continue over the next few days.
“Already this week, Al Hilal have talks ready with Everton to understand if they can make it happen.
“The player is not closing doors to a move to Saudi Arabia, so now it depends on what happens between Everton and Al Hilal.
“Iliman Ndiaye is going to be a big topic for the next days and weeks. We have to understand what Everton decide to do.”
