Frank Lampard has opened as the favourite with Sky Bet to be the first Premier League manager sacked during the 2026-27 season.
At the time of writing, Lampard is priced at 9/2 to be the first top-flight boss to be jettisoned.
The former England midfielder guided Coventry City to promotion from the Championship last term and is preparing for his fourth spell as a Premier League manager.
His previous top-flight stints with Chelsea and Everton produced mixed results, including two separate spells in charge at Stamford Bridge.

Lampard faces a difficult task at Coventry, with the Sky Blues among the bookmakers’ favourites for relegation.
They are currently priced at a short 4/7 to go down, with only Hull considered more likely to suffer the drop at 1/5.
Despite those odds, Lampard will be hoping Coventry can follow the lead of two of last season’s promoted clubs, who defied expectations by comfortably securing their Premier League status.
Sunderland went on to finish seventh and qualify for European football, while Leeds ended the campaign in a respectable 14th.
Elsewhere in the first-manager-sacked market, Hull boss Sergej Jakirovic, Newcastle’s Eddie Howe and Nottingham Forest’s Oliver Glasner are joint second favourites at 11/2, with Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi next in the betting at 15/2.
With the pressure set to mount quickly once the new campaign gets underway, Lampard heads into the season with the bookmakers expecting him to be the first Premier League manager shown the door – but he’ll be determined to prove them wrong by steering Coventry clear of danger.
