Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has disclosed that new £117 million signing Morgan Rogers and Cole Palmer can play together, explaining that he has a clear tactical plan to make their attacking partnership thrive.
Recall that Rogers and Palmer have been close friends since they were 14 years old in England youth teams and the Manchester City academy.

The 24-year-old is currently on holiday after representing England at the World Cup, while Chelsea have already begun their pre-season tour of Sydney.
In a chat with the club’s website ahead of tomorrow’s preseason friendly against Western Sydney Wanderers on Tuesday, Alonso believes Rogers and fellow England international Palmer can develop a formidable understanding in Chelsea’s attack.
“I have a plan. I have an idea. I can see them linking really well,” Alonso said on how Morgan could fit in alongside Palmer. The pair are close friends who have similar playing styles.

“You need to have a good mix, good stability players, and players that can play with more freedom.
“And if we get that balance right, and we get those special players in the right positions, with good control, I think that we will be more competitive with the ball and against the ball.
