Abdu Maikaba’s side took the lead in the 33rd minute when Gift Subi rose highest to head home from a well-delivered corner kick.
The hosts responded shortly after the restart to restore parity, but the Flying Eagles regained control and found the decisive goal 12 minutes from time.

Substitute Abdulmuiz Adeleke struck in the 78th minute to seal the win for Nigeria.
The victory provides a timely confidence boost for the seven-time African champions ahead of their opening Group B fixture against arch-rivals Ghana’s Black Satellites on Monday in Yamoussoukro.
The Flying Eagles are aiming to retain the WAFU B title and secure one of the two available qualification spots for the 2027 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, which will be hosted by Ghana.
