Sports247 reports that the African pair earned their place in the second round after producing one of the tournament’s biggest upsets, defeating the third-seeded duo of Australia’s Thilo Berman and Switzerland’s Flynn Thomas in straight sets, 6-3, 7-6(1), in a commanding first-round performance.
Their reward is a Round of 16 clash against the American pairing of Safir Azar and Vihaan Reddy, with a coveted place in the quarter-finals at stake.
