Falconets midfielder Shakirat Moshood has completed a move to Portuguese side SCU Torreense, signing a two-year contract, Completesports.com reports.
The 18-year-old joins the Liga BPI outfit from former Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) champions Bayelsa Queens, where she established herself as one of the country’s brightest young talents.
The transfer marks the start of Moshood’s professional career in Europe and represents another significant step in her rapidly rising career.

Moshood first caught the eye on the international stage as captain of Nigeria’s Flamingos at the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco, where her leadership, composure and midfield displays earned widespread acclaim.
Her impressive performances also saw her finish as runner-up in the 2025 CAF Women’s Youth Player of the Year award, underlining her status as one of Africa’s most promising young footballers.
The gifted midfielder has continued her progression with the Falconets and played a key role in Nigeria’s successful qualification for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, which will be staged in Poland this September. She is expected to be one of the team’s key players at the tournament.
At club level, Moshood now joins an ambitious SCU Torreense side preparing for a historic campaign. The Portuguese club secured qualification for the UEFA Women’s Champions League for the first time in their history and will compete on Europe’s biggest club stage next season.
