Sports247 gathered that Flick earlier gave the 24-year-old Adeymi his first senior Germany cap in 2021 and took him to the 2022 FIFA World Cup, following which the tactician is still regarded as a firm admirer of the feather haired Nigerian-born battler.
Consequently, Adeyemi is set to sign for Barca this summer and, though the mulatto midfielder was not part of Germany’s squad for the ogoing FIFA World Cup, he is set to make a move to the Spanish giants, with Flick considering his protege as a good option in efforts to upgrade the team’s attack.
This comes at a point in which Adeyemi has also seen his relevance drop at Dortmund, but tansfer expert, Fabrizio Romano disclosed that his deal with Barcelona is going ahead, as the Catalans look to add a second winger after the arrival of Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United of England.
“Karim Adeyemi has agreed terms with Barcelona and informed BVB he only wants a Barça move. Adeyemi is out of contract in June 2027 and is not planning to sign a new deal.
Barcelona sent an official bid to BVB to get Adeyemi, and are now working to get it done,” Romano posted on social media.
