Britain added seven new designations under its global human rights sanctions regime, targeting individuals and entities involved with Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank, a government notice showed on Tuesday.
The measures will also include a non-binding recommendation on trade with Israeli settlements.
Some other countries are expected to join Britain in the new sanctions.
The decision follows pressure from over 140 British MPs demanding a trade ban, alongside global backlash against a new Israeli expansion plan that would permanently divide the occupied West Bank.
