New York Knicks’ Nigerian-born forward, Ogugua ‘OG’ Anunoby pulled off a rare ‘magical move’ in one of the highlights during his team’s Game 2 win over San Antonio Spurs in USA’s National Basketball Association (NBA) 2026 Finals.

Sports247 reports that Anunoby was once again in top form for The Knicks, as the team handled by former D’Tigers’ coach, Mike Brown took another step closer to winning this year’s NBA championship gong with two away wins on the bounce.
Anunoby’s team romped back from yet another double-digit deficit to secure a 105-104 win over The Spurs and storm to a 2-0 lead in the NBA Finals, though The Knicks needed to fend off a furious late rally by their hosts to secure the win.
It was the 13th straight game The Knicks have won, one of the most remarkable runs in NBA playoff history, boosted by a 12-point hole early in Game 2, with more hard work in the second and third quarters to climb out of tough terrain.
They shot into a 14-point lead on a two-hand Anunoby dunk directly in front of Victor Wembanyama midway through the fourth quarter to keep mouths wagging, and even President Donald Trump cannot resist the urge to witness Game 3 live.
Trump must have been amazed to hear that The Spurs lost the second straight game at home, though they initially erased a 14-point fourth-quarter deficit, then took a 104-102 lead in the game’s final minutes.
However, Victor Wembanyama’s jumper missed the mark as time expired, and The Knicks held on for the win in front of a shocked Frost Bank Center crowd in San Antonio, while New York faithful who made the trip roared gleefully at the arena.
Anunoby et al now head back to home court at Madison Square Garden in The Big Apple for Games 3 and 4, with a strong chance that Mike Brown’s wards will seal The Knicks’ first NBA championship title since 1973.
