Nigerian professional wrestler, Isaac Odugbesan (aka Oba Femi) is receiving sympathetic support following his ‘conspiracy’ defeat by Brock Lesnar during their much talked about rematch in Italy on Sunday night, Sports247 reports.

With many fight pundits having earlier cited ‘a conspiracy theory’ about the Nigerian grappler’s expected loss during the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) package, Oba Femi was bound to have words of support coming his way.
The defeat eventually came to pass, but fight observers and commentators unanimously insinuated that it was a smart ploy by WWE’s top shots to set both fighters up for a hugely appertising third bout at this year’s SummerSlam.
Nonetheless, the crowd went wild as Lesnar took on ‘The Ruler’ with everything he had – whopping five F-5s, repeated kimuras, a F-5 through the announcer’s table and a seventh F-5 in the ring – all of which were just enough for the American icon to win and even his score with Oba.
However, another talking point about the historic night at Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy was that Oba Femi later returned with a strapped arm to feature in ‘King Of The Ring,’ which he won, despite immediately coming under attack before the bell.
He warded off the pair of Carmelo Hayes and Solo Sikoa before the match could properly settle, as he was still making his entrance, but still fended off the former US Champions like flies, thereby earning the tag of MVP for the night.
A report by Drake Briggs of Uncrowned stated in part, “WWE Clash in Italy marked the company’s first Italian PLE with a five-match showcase featuring four title tilts and the rematch between Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi.
“Lesnar conquered Femi in a serious sprint of a match. Femi ate absolutely every big move Lesnar had to offer and nearly snuck away with a win, but ultimately fell to a seventh F-5. Lesnar’s win prevented this from being a perfect match.
“If he had to win, this was booked in the literal best way imaginable. It was the strongest way imaginable for Femi to lose if he had to. He looked as incredible as he could have in the process, and that was highlighted by (the) commentary.
“He put on the sprintiest sprint since Lesnar vs. Goldberg. A Lesnar win felt entirely unnecessary, aside from that we’ll likely see a trilogy at SummerSlam. These guys just slam into each other at 110 miles per hour when they meet.”

“Lesnar entered the match with an offensive spree that effectively made nonsense of the previous result, crushing his opponent with back-to-back F-5s, i.e. the very move Femi shrugged off at WrestleMania.
“In fairness, WWE made it clear Femi wasn’t going down easily — they let him kick out of the F-5 offensive, before springing a few attacks of his own. But it wasn’t enough.
“By the time the evening was out, the wrestling gods had wavered on their original verdict: Femi and Lesnar were now tied at one victory apiece in this battle for supremacy.”
