Head coach of Nigeria’s Nigeria women’s national under-17 football team, Akeem Busari, has warned his players against complacency despite their emphatic 5-0 victory over Guinea in the first leg of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifier.
Speaking after the dominant away performance, Busari insisted the qualification battle is far from over because only the first leg has been completed.

“The job is not done yet,” Busari said.
According to the Flamingos coach, the technical crew carefully studied Guinea’s weaknesses before the game and successfully exploited them during the encounter.
“We worked on their weak areas and took advantage of them,” he implied.
Despite the huge victory, Busari stressed that his team still has areas needing improvement ahead of the return leg in Nigeria.
“We still have things to correct,” he noted.
The coach also described the Flamingos as a team still developing and improving gradually.
“This team is still a work in progress,” he added.
Nigeria produced a ruthless attacking display in the first leg, with Chidi Harmony emerging as one of the standout performers.
“The performance was impressive, but focus must remain high,” many football observers believe.
Busari remains determined to ensure the Flamingos maintain discipline and intensity heading into the second leg.
“We must stay fully concentrated,” he stressed.
For the Flamingos coach, the message is clear.
Respect the second leg.
Keep improving tactically.
And avoid complacency despite the big advantage.
