Nigerian athlete Princess Uche is continuing to build momentum in what is rapidly becoming a breakthrough season on the collegiate athletics circuit in the United States.
Representing Iowa Track & Field�, the talented junior has consistently delivered impressive performances throughout the season, particularly in the women’s 400m.

Sports247 gathered that Earlier this month on May 2, Uche produced a major career breakthrough after storming to a huge Personal Best of 52.11 seconds in the event, firmly establishing herself among the standout Nigerian quarter-milers currently competing in the NCAA system.
She followed up that remarkable outing with another strong performance at the Big Ten Outdoor Track and Field Championships, where she clocked 52.96 seconds against a highly competitive field.
The consistency of her performances this season has further highlighted her growth, especially as she continues to record multiple sub-53-second races — a significant benchmark in women’s 400m sprinting.
Observers have credited much of her improvement to the strategic approach taken toward her training and race development this season.
Rather than focusing solely on the 400m, Uche has spent much of the year building endurance and strength through longer sprint events such as the 600m and 800m, an approach that now appears to be yielding major results on the track.
