The Nigeria Football Coaches Association (NFCA), Ogun State chapter, has announced a major restructuring of its zonal administrative system as part of efforts to strengthen the association’s operations across the state.
According to the state leadership, the restructuring initiative is aimed at making the association more formidable, accessible, accountable, and administratively effective in achieving the objectives of the NFCA at grassroots and zonal levels.

Under the new structure, zonal coordinators will serve as liaison officers to the State Chairman, with responsibilities including monitoring, supervising, and reporting activities of local councils within their respective zones directly to the state executive for smoother and more efficient administration.
The appointments, which officially took effect from May 13, 2026, will run for an initial period of two years, subject to renewal based on performance.
The newly appointed zonal executives cover the Remo, Ijebu, Yewa, and Egba zones of Ogun State.
In the Remo Zone, Tajudeen Junaid was appointed Zonal Coordinator alongside Coach Oluwaseyifunmi Ikuedojo as Secretary, Coach Idowu Ayodeji Oluwaseun as Treasurer, Coach Babatunde Lawal as Public Relations Officer, and Coach Lukman Gisanrin as Training Officer.
For the Ijebu Zone, Adamson Omotunde Abiodun will serve as Zonal Coordinator, supported by Coach Okeowo Babafemi, Coach Olorunloba Ibraheem Adeniyi, Coach Tijani Ahmed Ayodele, and Coach Kazeem Akeem Oluwabusayo in various executive capacities.
In the Yewa Zone, Mustapha Afis Ademola was named Coordinator, with Coach Ojuola Adekunle, Coach Ebikudo Ferdinand Azuka, Coach Akinyemiju Akintayo O., and Coach Abimbola Kifuli completing the executive structure.
Meanwhile, the Egba Zone will be led by Olushola Kuforiji, popularly known as Samba and also recognized as the Ifo NFCA Leader. Other executives in the zone include Coach Oluwafemi Salawu, Coach Ashidi Solomon Olorunfemi, Coach Sanusi Akeem Olaitan, and Coach Abiodun Ogundele.
The announcement, signed by the State General Secretary and directed by the State Chairman, concluded with congratulations to all appointed officers while calling for continued cooperation and unity among members of the association.
The restructuring is expected to improve coordination, strengthen grassroots football coaching administration, and enhance communication between local councils and the Ogun State executive council of the NFCA.
