Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Friday released a special commemorative virtual card to highlight the exploits of former Super Eagles’ striker, Michael Eneramo, who died earlier same day, Sports247 gathered.

Eneramo, who was aged 40 and operated a football academy, slumped during an early morning training session in Kaduna, after which he was pronounced dead on arrival at a nearby hospital.
In response to the heartbreaking news, the NFF’s communications department released a virtual card that summarised Eneramo’s glorious days in the Super Eagles as well as his exploits at club level with Esperance of Tunisia and three teams in the Turkish Sper Lig.
Also part of the graphics on the card that was splashed in green with gold trappings is an indication that Eneramo, who first featured for Lobi Stars of Makurdi, played a total of ten matches with the Super Eagles.
His international debut was versus Jamaica, in a goalless draw at the Unity Cup on 11th February 2009, after which he scored the first of his three goals for the Eagles against Ireland on May 29th, 2009.
NFF secretary-general, Dr Mohammed Sanusi stated in his tribute to the former power-playing top striker, “This is devasting. I’m short of words at this moment.
“I can only pray that God will grant him eternal rest. (I pray that God will) also grant his loved ones and Nigeria’s football family fortitude to bear the loss.”
