Matchday 16 of the NWFL Premiership delivered a mix of dominant victories, tight contests, and defining moments as teams continued their push for Super Six qualification and league survival.

In Lagos, FC Robo Queens edged Remo Stars Ladies 1-0 in a keenly contested Southwest derby. Rafiu Tosin’s first-half strike in the 45th minute proved decisive, sealing all three points for the hosts.
Over in Aba, Ahudiyannem Queens secured a solid 2-0 win against Dannaz Ladies. Mary Lucky opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 28th minute before Tobi Oghenerugba doubled the advantage in the second half.
Nasarawa Amazons delivered one of the standout performances of the round in Lafia, thrashing Confluence Queens 4-0. Ayatsea Hembafan grabbed a brace early on, while Omotoke Ogunfuwa and Osinachi Ugbala added further goals to complete a dominant display.
In Owerri, Heartland Queens held off a spirited fightback from Rivers Angels to claim a 2-1 victory. Early goals from Monica Matthew and Oluebube Umejiaku gave the hosts control, before Grace Saliu pulled one back for Rivers Angels.
Bayelsa Queens also secured a comfortable 2-0 win over Adamawa Queens in Yenagoa, with Sofiat Bankole and Delight Isaac finding the net in either half.
In Ibadan, Pacesetter Queens and Edo Queens played out a goalless draw, reflecting a tightly balanced encounter.
Ekiti Queens defeated Ibom Angels 2-0 in Ado-Ekiti, courtesy of goals from Odun Olaleye and Joke Adeyemo, while Sunshine Queens produced a commanding 3-0 victory over Osun Babes in Akure, with Moyinoluwa Owolabi, Toyin Oyewale, and Bunmi Adenuga all on target.
Elsewhere in Aba, Abia Angels secured a 2-0 win against Delta Queens, with quick second-half goals from Funmilayo Adefuye and Miracle Usani sealing the result.
With the season nearing its decisive phase, Matchday 16 results have further intensified the race for playoff spots and league positioning, setting up an exciting run-in across the NWFL Premiership.
