Bill Belichick had a blunt response to a quizzing about his love life as he addressed reporters in the wake of his breakup from Jordon Hudson on Monday.
It emerged on the eve of the University of North Carolina’s narrow loss to Miami that the NFL legend, 74, and his much-younger girlfriend Hudson, 25, had secretly split towards the end of last year.
Hudson is said to have already moved on and is seeing other people but the high-profile couple reportedly remain ‘close friends’ in the wake of their breakup, TMZ reported on Friday evening.
In the wake of the news, Hudson was absent from the Tar Heels’ game on Saturday, despite having been an eye-catching fixture on the sidelines throughout Belichick’s tenure in Chapel Hill.
However, even Hudson’s determination to stay out of the spotlight didn’t stop Belichick from facing a grilling about the end of their age-gap relationship.
The legendary football coach was asked about the rumors of their separation during his Tar Heels press conference on Monday – and he wasn’t left impressed.

‘Do you work for a tabloid now?’ Belichick snapped back in a biting tone.
The sullen eight-time Super Bowl winner added: ‘I’ll keep my personal comments and relationships to myself if that’s alright with you.’
The former New England Patriots coach started dating the cheerleader back in 2022, after they first met on a flight from Boston to Florida.
They were first pictured together in January 2023, before finally going public with their relationship in June 2024.
They have since been on a whirlwind and often controversial romance, which resulted in them living together between North Carolina, where Belichick is currently coaching the UNC football team, and Nantucket.
A source close to Hudson told TMZ that the pair quietly ended their relationship ‘late last year,’ though it is unclear who exactly pulled the plug.
It is also being reported that Hudson has been ‘seeing other people’ since her romance with Belichick, who is 49 years her senior, came to an end.
The Daily Mail has reached out to the pair for further comment.

It is extremely surprising that the news wasn’t made public any earlier, especially given Hudson has been a constant presence on the sideline at UNC games this season – and as recently as last weekend against Syracuse in Chapel Hill.
A week earlier, she was alongside her now-ex-boyfriend for the road game against Duke, with the pair beaming as they left the field together.
It remains to be seen whether Hudson will resume her role on the sideline in the wake of their split becoming public knowledge, with UNC at home against No 1-ranked Miami in Chapel Hill on Saturday night.
Bizarrely, the pair were also seen holding hands during a public appearance at the Kentucky Derby in May, after which Hudson posted a photo with the caption: ‘Not the first time we’ve trudged through the mud together,’ with a love heart.
That trip came months after their reported split at the end of 2025.
During the course of their romance, Hudson amassed an impressive $9 million property portfolio, as first reported by the Daily Mail.
She has snapped up at least four properties, including one worth $3 million, which were all purchased after she met the former New England Patriots coach.
Even more impressively, she has also paid off the mortgages on each of the homes, with her primary residence listed as a two-bedroom cottage in Cape Cod.

Prior to his relationship with Hudson, Belichick was married to his ex-wife Debby for 30 years, before they separated prior to the 2004 NFL season.
He was then in a long-term relationship with girlfriend Linda Holliday for approximately 16 years, from 2007 to 2022.
Until Saturday night, Hudson had been a mainstay on the UNC sideline, attending every home game this season and multiple road games, but she was nowhere to be seen against Miami with her name back in the headlines.
It was business as usual for Belichick, dressed in his usual UNC hoodie, as he coached his players in a very narrow loss against Miami, the No 1 college football team in the country.
It was a wild atmosphere in Chapel Hill, but Hudson, 25, decided to stay out of the spotlight and decided against her usual glamorous role alongside players and staffers on the UNC sideline.
