Burna Boy Thrills Fans at NFL Paris Halftime Show

Nigerian music star Burna Boy thrilled fans with an energetic performance at the 2026 NFL Paris halftime show at the Stade de France on Sunday.

The Grammy-winning singer performed during the NFL game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints, entertaining spectators with some of his popular songs, including Ye, On the Low and Last Last.

Burna Boy impressed the crowd with his stage performance and unique Afrofusion sound, which combines Afrobeat, reggae, dancehall and other musical styles.

Before the show, the singer expressed excitement about returning to the famous Paris stadium, where he had performed previously.

“If it is anything like my shows, like the last time I was here? Then, it would be amazing,” he said.

The performance added to Burna Boy’s growing list of appearances at major international sporting events.

In 2023, he performed at the NBA All-Star Game and the UEFA Champions League final kickoff show. He also joined Colombian singer Shakira at the inaugural FIFA World Cup halftime show in 2026.

His latest appearance came just weeks after fellow Nigerian singer Ayra Starr made history as the first artiste to headline an NFL halftime show, further highlighting the growing presence of Nigerian musicians on the global stage.

Born Damini Ogulu, Burna Boy rose to fame with Like to Party, the lead single from his debut studio album, L.I.F.E, released in 2013.

He has since become one of Africa’s leading music stars, with albums such as African Giant, Twice As Tall, Love, Damini, I Told Them and No Sign of Weakness.

Burna Boy won the Best Global Music Album award at the 2021 Grammy Awards for Twice As Tall. He has also earned several Grammy nominations throughout his career.

His performance at the NFL Paris halftime show further showcased Nigerian music to an international audience and highlighted the growing global influence of Afrobeats and Afrofusion.
