Tiger Woods appears to be on the brink of his latest golf comeback after more than two years out of the game and in the wake of his DUI arrest in Florida.
Woods has not played a professional event since he missed the cut at The Open in 2024 at Royal Troon due to injury problems and his latest brush with the law back in March.
The 50-year-old, who is dating Vanessa Trump, was filmed hitting balls at Monterey Peninsula Country Club last week, hinting that he may be close to a return to playing competitively again.
And friend and fellow pro Kevin Kisner has now dropped the biggest hint that Woods is ready to return after he was dumped by the golf icon’s TGL team – Jupiter Links Golf Club, ahead of the new season.
Speaking on Barstool’s Foreplay podcast, Kisner said: ‘Well, obviously, I’m not on the team anymore. I had a two-year contract with Jupiter Links and then they, Tiger wants to play. Then they wanted to sign Keith Mitchell, which is totally fine with me.
‘I’m sure I’ll still be involved in some sort of fashion at some point. Go down there and do some stuff for them. You know, the Bad News Bears are still going to be a part of my life, and hopefully they continue to win.’
Kevin Kisner has hinted that Tiger Woods could be about to make his dramatic return to golf

Last month, Woods pleaded no contest to charges stemming from his DUI back in late March
Kisner continued: ‘Rob [McNamara], Tiger’s guy, he text me a long text last week, I think. Just telling me what they did on their decisions, how they were moving around and what players were going to do and that Tiger wanted to play a full schedule….’
If Woods returns in time for TGL season three, which starts on December 27, he will be teaming up with Max Homa, Tom Kim, Akshay Bhatia and the newly-acquired Keith Mitchell.
Woods only played one match in season two, returning for the TGL Finals where his team lost to Los Angeles.
But he’s been ramping up his practice in recent weeks. As well as the range session in Monterey last week, he was also seen hitting balls at Liberty National in New Jersey last month.
In September, Woods pleaded no contest to the charges stemming from the DUI back in late March and struck a deal with prosecutors which will see the golfer banned from driving for five years.
After his arrest, Woods got permission from the court to fly to Switzerland, where he spent months in a rehabilitation facility.
Woods changed his plea in a courtroom in early September, which allowed him to avoid the case going to trial.
According to police, Woods was driving at a high speed along a beachside road when his Land Rover clipped a tractor-trailer truck and rolled onto its side, causing about $5,000 worth of damage to the other vehicle.

Woods was spotted on the driving range recently fueling rumors of a possible comeback

Woods previously broke the clubs out at Liberty National in New Jersey in September
He was able to crawl out of the car without any injuries before later admitting to officers he was looking at his phone and changing the radio at the time of the collision.
A Breathalyzer test did not reveal any alcohol in Woods’s system, but he refused a urine test, according to police.
The Sheriff’s report obtained by the Daily Mail said deputies found opioids in his pocket and he showed signs of impairment.
Woods was closing in on a return to golf and was widely expected to compete at The Masters in the days before the crash.
The 15-time major champion’s legal problems have since been put into perspective by Vanessa’s cancer diagnosis. She revealed her bout with an unspecified form of breast cancer back in May.
