The former FC Robo Queens of Lagos and Atletico Madrid of Spain dazzler bowed out of action with the Super Falcons early in the first half of a 2028 Olympic Games second-leg qualifier and left many fans worrying about her condition.
However, while admitting she felt a lot of pain after the 23rd-minute collision and was sad that her personal targets for the match were dashed, ‘The Lady With Blue Hair’ disclosed that she is already going through various stages of her recovery process.
‘Rash’ stopped short of putting an exact date on her return to action for club and country, but thanked everyone who has supported her with comforting words in her period of need and physical setback, then assured them that she will bounce back stronger.
The 26-year-old fair-skinned winger and very devout Christian also confirmed that medical checks remain ongoing for her, but ruled out the need for surgery, even as she hinted at further updates soon.
Ajibade stated in a very emotional post on X: “Scans and medical consultations are ongoing, and more updates will be shared when available. At the moment, I’m doing okay and my spirits are high.
“To everyone who reached out with messages, prayers and kind words, thank you from the bottom of my heart. To my teammates, family, staff and our fans, I felt every bit of your love and support. For now, my focus is on recovery and returning stronger for club and country.”
