Boxing legend Mike Tyson revealed that he hand delivered a letter from his friend Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs to President Donald Trump in a recent meeting.
In an appearance on SiriusXM radio show ‘Andy Cohen Live,’ the former fighter spoke at length about his friendship with the disgraced music mogul who is serving a 50-month prison sentence for a sex-crimes conviction.
Tyson said he is ‘friendly with Puff’ – using one of Combs’ many stage names – before Cohen asked him if the boxer was ‘surprised by what happened with him?’
‘Listen, I was surprised that they went through so many lengths to get him,’ the athlete replied.
‘They used a 110-year-old rule to get him – that case 110 years ago, but they used it to get him. Can you imagine that?’
After being convicted on this charge, Tyson said that he spoke with Combs from jail – where he asked ‘Iron Mike’ to deliver a message to the President.

Mike Tyson says he was asked to deliver a letter from Diddy to President Donald Trump

Diddy – born Sean Combs – wrote Trump a letter from jail asking the President for a pardon
‘And did you give a letter to the president from him?’ Cohen inquired, to which Tyson replied: ‘I did what he told me to do, yeah.’
In January, President Trump confirmed that he received a letter from Combs asking for a pardon. Trump did not reveal how he received the letter, but said that he wouldn’t grant the request.
The ‘110-year-old’ rule Tyson referred to was the 1910 Mann Act, a law that criminalizes the transporting of ‘any woman or girl for the purpose of prostitution or debauchery, or for any other immoral purpose.’
Combs faced accusations of leading a criminal enterprise where he allegedly coerced victims to participate in debaucherous sex parties – nicknamed ‘freak offs’ – which occasionally involved travel across state lines and international borders.
After a two month trial, Combs was acquitted of trafficking and racketeering, a jury cited the Mann Act when finding him guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
Combs has denied all allegations of sexual misconduct and has attempted to appeal his conviction.
He is currently being held at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey and still faces upwards of 70 civil lawsuits throughout the country.

Should celebrities be able to use their connections to seek pardons for serious crimes?
Combs’ release date has moved multiple times since his incarceration due to his alleged misdeeds behind bars.
An NBC News report revealed it was pushed back from January 21, 2028 to March 2, 2028 after he allegedly made fellow inmates cook and clean for him, give him massages and received access to outside alcohol and a cellphone.
In an August 2025 interview, Trump addressed Combs’ conviction in an interview with Newsmax.
‘I was very friendly with him. I got along with him great,’ the President said at the time.
‘[He] seemed like a nice guy,’ Trump continued. ‘I didn’t know him well, but when I ran for office he was very hostile.’
