Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford’s wife has admitted to feeling the pressure of certain beauty standards in the City of Angels.
Stafford and his wife Kelly moved to Los Angeles in 2021 when the reigning NFL MVP was traded to the Rams from the Detroit Lions.
And Kelly, who married the signal caller in 2015, has now revealed that the California lifestyle has taken its toll.
‘I, as a 37-year-old woman, feel pressure to look a certain way here. It’s normal for everyone to do things and whatnot. I feel that pressure,’ Kelly said about living in Los Angeles during an interview with Us Weekly.
‘I can only imagine being my daughters growing up here. I would hope that they see it as, ‘Oh, yeah, that’s just what people do here, but we’re good.’ But I think it will be hard. There’s just a lot here,’ she added.
‘You know, you use your manners. You open the door for people. To me, things that matter. You have respect for people. It’s everywhere, right? It’s not just California. But I do think it’s ramped up here.’

Kelly went on to admit that she is uncertain whether the couple and their four daughters – twins Sawyer and Chandler, 9, Hunter, 8, and 6-year-old Tyler – will remain in California once Stafford hangs up his cleats.
The quarterback signed a one-year, $55 million contract extension with the Rams in May, keeping him under contract through the 2027 season. However, speculation surrounding when he will retire has already begun to swirl.
‘[Whether we’ll stay in Los Angeles] is a question I ask myself every day. Family’s first for us. I miss my family like crazy,’ Kelly, who hails from Georgia, said.
‘But I also have to realize that my daughters are older and have made friends and have routines and sports teams. My husband loves it out here. So, what’s the compromise? I don’t know yet.’
Kelly previously lifted the lid on the various cosmetic procedures she has had done, admitting that her body has been put through some changes following three pregnancies.
Speaking on her podcast, ‘The Morning After’ last year, the former cheerleader confessed to having undergone a ‘mommy makeover’ following ten years of marriage to the NFL star.
Kelly went into great detail on her plastic surgery procedures as she welcomed her own surgeon, Dr. Garth Fisher, as a guest on her show.
‘I had my boobs re-done and you also did the tummy tuck,’ she admitted, adding: ‘And you put back together my a**.’

She also noted that she had her first breast enhancement years before, claiming she couldn’t exactly remember when.
Kelly stressed that the procedures left her feeling ‘great’ and ‘very confident’ but admitted to having felt some doubts.
‘You want to do it when you still have that urge to feel sexy,’ she said, adding: ‘I’m not saying at 18 years down the road I might not have a resurgence of that. But I also just think you’re older in age and it gets tougher.’
She continued: ‘A lot of people who live in California know what a tummy tuck is, but in my mind when I was told a tummy tuck, I was like, “That’s lipo[suction], right?” I was thinking fat removal and then skin and I remember being like, “Oh man, OK.”‘
Kelly went on to hint that she and Matthew were finished having children as she added: ‘You don’t want to go in and get a tummy tuck and get rid of the skin and get pregnant again … Because that’s kind of a waste.’
