Super Falcons stars Rasheedat Ajibade and Jennifer Echegini were both on the scoresheet as Paris Saint-Germain secured a 3–1 victory over Fleury in the Division 1 Féminine regular season at Stade Auguste Gentelet, Fleury-Mérogis.
Sports247 reports that the Nigerian duo played key roles in PSG’s impressive away victory, with Echegini opening her league account for the season before Ajibade continued her excellent goalscoring form with another important contribution.
Echegini broke the deadlock in the 36th minute, producing a fine finish to give the visitors the advantage and register her first league goal of the campaign.
The goal provided an important boost for the midfielder, who has continued to establish herself within the PSG setup while competing for regular opportunities in a highly competitive squad.
Ajibade then doubled PSG’s advantage in the 58th minute, continuing her impressive start to the campaign. The Super Falcons captain has been among the Nigerian players making an impact in Europe this season, and her latest strike further underlined her attacking influence.
The goal was Ajibade’s fourth in all competitions for PSG this season, adding another milestone to her growing contribution since joining the French giants.
Fleury managed to pull a goal back during the contest, but PSG restored their advantage and eventually secured a 3–1 victory to claim all three points.
The result represents another positive outing for PSG as they continue their Division 1 Féminine campaign, with the Parisians maintaining their strong start to the season.
For Nigeria, the performance will also provide encouragement ahead of upcoming international assignments, with both Ajibade and Echegini continuing to find the net at club level.
Ajibade’s consistent goalscoring and Echegini’s first league goal of the season highlight the attacking quality available to the Super Falcons, while their performances for PSG continue to enhance their momentum.
The Nigerian duo will now look to build on their latest contributions as PSG continue their pursuit of success across domestic and European competitions.
