Terem Moffi Goes For Further Checks On His Troublesome Knee Ahead Of Hamburg’s Next Game

SV Hamburg of Germany striker, Terem Moffi will go for further checks on his troublesome knee all through the coming week, as doctors at his club aim to knock him back into shape ahead of the resumption of action in the German Bundesliga.

Sports247 reports that Moffi has been out with a knee problem since the club’s last league outing against FC Cologne, when he bowed out at half-time, but he is now eyeing a return to action in next weekend’s encounter with TSG Hoffenheim.

However, despite hope for Moffi’s impending return, Hamburg’s coach, Merlin Polzin assured that they will not rush Moffi’s recovery and stated that the club’s doctors will continue assessing the striker’s fitness throughout the coming week, ahead of their clash with The Village Club.

“We need to get to know his knee a little better through our work together. The knee reacted a bit more than I initially thought. Now we have to wait and see what happens this week,” Polzin told Kicker.

Sports247 reports that Moffi is also facing a race against time to get settled at Hamburg, which he joined on a season-long loan from OGC Nice this summer and is yet to score in four Bundesliga appearances.

It marks another challenging period for Moffi, who spent the second half of last season on loan at FC Porto of Portugal, after falling out with Nice’s fans, but the Primera Liga outfit did not sign him to a full conract, and his French Ligue 1 side had to ship him out to Hamburg.
