Travis Kelce and his brother Jason have delivered their candid verdict on Taylor Swift’s new music – including a track dedicated to the Chiefs star’s hometown.
Swift released The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore featuring four brand-new bonus songs, with the track ‘Cleveland!’ immediately drawing attention on social media.
The song – which some critics have branded a ‘dud’ – pays homage to her romance with Travis, who was raised alongside Jason in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.
Speaking on Wednesday’s episode of their New Heights podcast, the NFL brothers made no secret of how much they have been enjoying the new music.
‘Cleveland is rocking right now!’ Travis declared during the show. ‘Shoutout to Tay Tay for making that song and just giving the city a little more life.’
Jason was equally enthusiastic, revealing that the new track has been on heavy rotation in his own household.

‘Dude, that song is incredible,’ Jason insisted. ‘Kylie and I have been listening to it so much.
‘There’s just something about it that makes you feel real good. It’s a great song’.
In the track, Swift sings: ‘Something we all can agree on / But my baby likes what he likes, oh-woah, oh-oh / He already took me to Cleveland / And showed me The Heights, so hate all you like / This is the love of my life.’
The pop superstar also treated fans to private home footage in the accompanying lyric video, showing clips of the couple driving around Cleveland during a visit.
The song also features a subtle nod to their highly publicized summer wedding, with Swift singing: ‘Now I’m wearing white / So hate all you like.’
Alongside ‘Cleveland!’, the extended record includes three other tracks: ‘Patient Zero,’ ‘Pink Clouding,’ and ‘Babylon.’
However, early reviews have panned the new music, calling it ‘derivative and flat.’
Avant-garde rock icon Todd Rundgren ripped into Swift, denouncing her as the ‘apotheosis of mediocrity’ and accusing her of having ‘ruined music.’

In a new interview, Rundgren, 78, praised Lady Gaga as a ‘real musician’ and a ‘classically trained piano player,’ placing her in contradistinction to Swift.
‘Swift doesn’t do anything particularly great except grow hair. She’s not a great singer. She’s not a great songwriter. She’s not a great dancer,’ he said.
‘She’s a role model for what was a very young generation of women, and now for those women’s daughters as well, because it’s mothers and daughters going to Taylor Swift shows,’ the We Gotta Get You a Woman singer observed to Vulture.
