Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald lost his cool during practice in an explosive confrontation with edge rusher Derick Hall.
The tense encounter was captured during the latest episode of HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Seattle Seahawks’ and showed Macdonald pulling no punches with the defensive star.
The friction began during a team drill when Hall got uncomfortably close to the signal-caller while executing a bull rush move at the line of scrimmage.
‘Derick, Derick… what are you doing?! Why are you bull rushing right now near the quarterback?,’ Macdonald yelled across the field as play came to a halt.
Hall immediately defended his maneuver, telling his head coach: ‘I’m not. I tried to hump. I can’t see behind me!’
Macdonald was quick to cut off the explanation, barking back: ‘You can’t be trying to hump right now. This isn’t the time for it.’

A furious Macdonald confronted Hall over his movements during a practice rep

Macdonald eventually pulled Hall from the practice session after their X-rated exchange
Tensions boiled over shortly after when Hall made another tight run near the passer, prompting Macdonald to step in and pull the 25-year-old out of the practice rep.
‘Damn it, Derick. Hey! Stay away from the quarterback!,’ Macdonald snapped before signaling for a substitute. ‘Get him out. Get him out.’
A frustrated Hall threw his hands up as he walked off the field, venting: How, when I already cleared the pass. What do you want me to do?. Oh my gosh. What the f***’.
Overhearing the defender’s protest on the sideline, Macdonald fired back with a stern reminder of who holds authority over the practice field.
‘Hey, you can complain all you want! You can complain all the f*** you want,’ Macdonald shouted. ‘You’re too close. That’s twice! It’s not smart! You can f*** all you want but it turns out I’m running the f***ing practice.’
It didn’t take long for the clip to go viral on social media, with many praising Macdonald for his ruthlessness during practice.
One user wrote: ‘Turns out I’m running the f***ing practice. What a line’.
‘Mike is the Boss!!! Players respect him!!! Hall will chill!’, another said online.
‘When the coach has to remind you who’s in charge. Macdonald made it pretty clear whose practice it is,’ another wrote.
