Here is a round-up of all the latest Man Utd transfer news:

Man Utd’s Lewis-Skelly interest has cooled

Manchester United’s stance on signing Arsenal star Myles Lewis-Skelly has cooled considerably, though the Red Devils were previously interested in the Hale End Academy product, the Theatre of Red podcast has revealed.

However, once Lewis-Skelly’s importance to the Red Devils became known, they appreciated that he was a less realistic target.

While Newcastle’s Lewis Hall remains the main target as the final weeks of the transfer window approach, Patrick Dorgu is still seen as a possible long-term option at left-back.

Meanwhile, the club hierarchy appreciates that Carrick’s squad needs bolstering and they are prepared to invest to ensure back-to-back Champions League finishes.

United given fresh Lewis Hall hope

United have been told that their prospects of signing Hall are alive, with The Sun reporting that the former Chelsea left-back continues to demand a summer sale.

Newcastle are approaching this deal in a position of comparative strength, having already completed two big-money transfers this summer as Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes have both departed the club for a combined fee approaching €200 million.

Hall, meanwhile, still has three years left to run on his deal.

Man Utd and Chelsea fighting for ‘new Tchouameni’

Manchester United may have given up on Aurelien Tchouameni as their dream summer reinforcement in midfield – but the Red Devils are targeting a player who has been compared to him, according to TeamTalk.

Monaco’s Lamine Camara was one of the standout figures in Ligue 1 last season, attracting interest from the likes of United and Chelsea, but Crystal Palace have been the first to move for the 22-year-old. The Selhurst Park side have already had a €50 million bid knocked back.

While clubs around Europe are jostling for the midfielder, his likeliest destination is likely to be the Premier League.

Tielemans explains Carrick’s plan for him

New midfielder Youri Tielemans has explained what manager Michael Carrick has planned for him in terms of his long-term role at Old Trafford.

“He wants me to be free on the pitch, to try and organise the team as best as possible. Obviously, he has got his principles, and I try and do what he asks and add my qualities to it,” he told Sky Sports.

“He has got his structure. He wants to have the ball, he wants to press in certain ways. It might be different than what you are used to, what I have been used to before, but it is logical things… for me, nothing changes, but it needs to gel together.

“Then when you follow those principles, you can add your offensive qualities, especially in the last third where everything is a bit more in free, without overcommitting and keeping the defensive line in place, then I think we can do good things.”
