Former ABS Global Talent Football Academy of Kano State youngster Suleiman Abubakar is taking another major step in his European football journey after earning an opportunity to train with Real Valladolid in Spain.
The talented Nigerian left wing-back was recently spotted in Rioseco, Valladolid, alongside Enzo Alves Vieira, the son of former Brazil and Real Madrid star Marcelo Vieira, as Abubakar continues his trial with the Spanish club.

For the young defender, the opportunity represents another important stage in his development after already gaining valuable experience in Spanish youth football.
Abubakar was selected at The Showcase Madrid 2026, an opportunity that helped put the Nigerian prospect on the radar of clubs and scouts in Spain.
The left wing-back previously featured for Celta Vigo U19 during the 2025/26 season in Spain’s Juvenil competition, giving him valuable exposure to the Spanish football system.
His latest trial with Real Valladolid provides another platform for the former ABS Global Talent player to demonstrate his qualities and potentially earn a longer-term opportunity with the club.
Speaking about the opportunity, Abubakar said:

The Nigerian youngster will now be hoping to impress the technical team with his defensive discipline, pace, attacking contribution and ability to operate effectively from the left side.

With previous experience at Celta Vigo already under his belt, Abubakar is now looking to turn his Real Valladolid opportunity into another significant breakthrough.
