Recent achievements and giant strides of Customs Volleyball Club in Nigeria’s men’s and women’s national leagues have brought applause for the para-military agency’s boss, Sports247 reports.
The round of applause came from Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) president, Engineer Musa Nimrod, who hailed the immense contributions of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) comptroller-general, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi in continuous development of the sport and the domestic league.
While noting the strong standing of Customs Spikers in the country, Nimrod singled out Adeniyi for supporting all giant strides being achieved by the club and in providing employment for many young talents, while pointing out that the CGC has also extended his support to the country’s national teams.
Nimrod, who also serves as Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) Beach Volleyball Commission president, added that Adeniyi, who is also the president of Nigerian Westling Federation (NWF), has been a strong pillar of support for the NVBF since the beginning of his administration.
“I want to thank the Nigeria Customs Service, under the leadership of CGC Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, for their tremendous support. We will continue to seek support of the Nigeria Customs Service in the years ahead, because the Comptroller-General has remained one of the federation’s strongest pillars.
“It has been brought to my attention that a significant number of volleyball players have been employed by the Nigeria Customs Service
.The Nigeria Volleyball Federation is delighted with this development, and we look forward to sustaining and strengthening our partnership with the NCS.”
