New arrival at Ajax Amsterdam of Netherlands, Tolu Arokodare could end up joining the Dutch Eredivisie giants in a full contract once they pay a fee of only £17m to his parent club, Wolverhampton Wanderers of England, Sports247 reports.
This is sequel to an agreement between both teams to give Arokodare a soft landing, following his sensational falling out with the crew at Wolves, who have considered him surplus to requirements ahead of the incoming season.

With Wolves under a new gaffer heading into their campaign in the lower cadre English Championship, Arokodare apparently did not fit into the scheme of things, and the crew quickly shut him out of their training routine, much to the player’s dismay.
However, in the wake of a daring step by the player to impose himself on the squad at Molineux, a concession has been reached to ship him out on loan to Ajax in a deal that will cover one season at the first instance, subject to an extension.
The deal, which makes Arokodare the next Nigerian player to feature for Ajax – after Nwakwo Kanu, Finidi Geroge, Tijjani Babangida, Sunday Oliseh and Pius Ikedia – was finalised after Wolves rejected offers from Fiorentina of Italy and Trabzonspor of Turkey.
A report by Tribal Football added, “Tolu Arokodare has passed his medical with Ajax and completed the paperwork for his proposed loan move to the Dutch giants. The 25-year-old Nigeria international is now set to join Ajax, who will have an option to make the transfer permanent for £17m.
“The Dutch club will pay a £1m loan fee, with additional payments potentially due if they qualify for the league phase of a European competition. Arokodare has been keen to leave Wolves this summer after struggling to secure his preferred move.”
