Serie A Club Reach Agreement With Inter Milan For Akinsamiro

Monza have reached an agreement with Serie A champions Inter Milan to sign Nigerian midfielder Ebenezer Akinsamiro on a permanent transfer.

According to reports, Inter will receive €7.5 million for the deal, along with a 10 percent sell-on clause on any future transfer.

The agreement does not include a buy-back clause, meaning the Nerazzurri have decided to part ways permanently with their academy product.

Akinsamiro also attracted interest from fellow Serie A side Bologna, as well as Bundesliga clubs Werder Bremen and Borussia Mönchengladbach, but Monza have won the race for his signature.

Inter signed the 21-year-old from Nigeria Premier Football League side Remo Stars in January 2023. He made one Serie A appearance for the Nerazzurri during their title-winning campaign.

The defensive midfielder spent the 2024/25 season on loan at Sampdoria, where he scored once in 35 league appearances, before another loan spell at Pisa last season. He registered one assist in 25 league outings for the club.

Akinsamiro will now hope to establish himself as a regular in Serie A with Monza after gaining valuable experience through successive loan spells.

He was part of Nigeria’s Super Eagles squad to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
