Mohamed Salah’s future remains uncertain after leaving Liverpool at the end of last season, having agreed to terminate the final year of his contract.
It initially appeared the Egyptian superstar had found his next destination, with Turkish giants Besiktas holding three rounds of talks over a potential move.
However, just as a switch to the Turkish Super Lig seemed to be edging closer, negotiations reportedly collapsed after Besiktas walked away from the deal because of Salah’s financial demands.
Despite negotiations breaking down, Besiktas sporting director Onder Ozen has left the door open for Salah to join the club, insisting their latest proposal is final and that they will not improve the terms currently on the table.
Mohamed Salah next move? Sky Bet odds revealed as transfer speculation heats up
With that in mind, and the prospect of European football still on offer in Istanbul, those expecting Salah to accept Besiktas’ proposal can back the move at odds of 5/2, making the Turkish side the second favourites in the market.
Meanwhile, if you think Salah’s financial demands will prove too much for Besiktas, a move to the Saudi Pro League is the 5/4 favourite.
The Egyptian has been heavily linked with Saudi Arabia for several years, most notably when Liverpool rejected a £150 million bid from Al Ittihad in 2023.
Rounding out the top three in the betting is a move to any MLS club, which is priced at 7/2.
With Besiktas refusing to improve their offer and interest from elsewhere expected to remain strong, Salah’s next destination is still far from certain.
Whether he ends up in Turkey, Saudi Arabia or even the United States, the transfer market looks set to keep punters guessing until his future is finally resolved.
