Caitlin Clark has achieved another major milestone in her historic career after being named as the official cover star for NBA 2K27’s Deluxe Edition.
The Indiana Fever guard makes history as the first-ever WNBA player to feature on her own solo global premium cover for the famous video game franchise.
Wednesday’s announcement puts the 2024 Rookie of the Year and three-time WNBA All-Star front and center on the title’s box art as 2K expands its WNBA representation.
Speaking on the historic honor, Clark expressed her pride in bringing the women’s game to a global audience through the video game giant.
‘Being on the cover of NBA 2K27 is special because this game reaches fans all over the world,’ Clark said following the official announcement.
‘To be the first WNBA player on her own global cover means women’s basketball gets to show up on that stage too, and I am proud to be part of that’.

While several WNBA stars – such as Candace Parker, Sabrina Ionescu, A’ja Wilson, and Angel Reese – have previously been featured on WNBA Editions of the NBA 2K series, Clark is the first to be featured on her own global NBA 2K premium cover
Clark leads an elite trio of cover stars for the upcoming release, joined by San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama on the Standard Edition and Chicago Bulls legend Derrick Rose on the limited-time Ultra Edition.
Rose makes his return to the front of the box for the first time since NBA 2K13, capping off a celebrated career as the youngest MVP in league history.
‘Victor Wembanyama, Caitlin Clark, and Derrick Rose each come from different worlds, but they share the same obsession that has altered the trajectory of the game,’ said Zak Armitage, SVP & GM of NBA 2K.
Armitage added: ‘Clark is pulling up from the logo, not just redefining what range looks like, but the women’s game entirely.’
NBA 2K27 is set for its full global release on September 4. Fans who purchase the Clark-fronted Deluxe Edition or the Rose Ultra Edition will receive early access to the title starting on Friday, August 28.

Despite making a name for herself in college for having elite shooting range, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark has never competed in the WNBA 3-Point Contest. That will not change this year.
Clark was not included in the list of six participants for this season’s contest during WNBA All-Star Weekend in Chicago.
The Fever star is not the only notable name skipping the contest as reigning champion Sabrina Ionescu of the New York Liberty was not included.
All-Stars Marina Mabrey of the Toronto Tempo and Rhyne Howard of the Atlanta Dream were included in the list.
Joining them are No. 1 overall pick Azzi Fudd of the Dallas Wings, Bridget Carleton of the Portland Fire, Golden State Valkyries forward Janelle Salaun and Seattle Storm guard Natisha Hiedeman.
