Chelsea Reject Third Bid From Como For Chalobah

Chelsea have rejected a third transfer bid from Como for Trevoh Chalobah, according to eSPORTY.

The centre-back has been a major target for the Italian club, whose coach is former Blues star Cesc Fabregas.

However, their efforts to sign Chalobah have been unsuccessful so far, with Chelsea sticking to their £30million plus £5m asking price.

In June, Como submitted a bid worth more than £22m for Chalobah, which was knocked back.

And whilst they have held advanced talks, the 27-year-old remains a Blues player.

eSPORTY previously reported that the Premier League giants were prepared to sell Chalobah, and a departure now appears more likely as they close in on the signing of Maxence Lacroix.

The Crystal Palace man is expected to arrive at Stamford Bridge in a deal worth north of £55m.

Lacroix’s arrival would push Chalobah further down the pecking order in west London, who does not appear part of new boss Xabi Alonso’s plans.

The 27-year-old has two years left on a long-term contract signed in 2022, which includes an option to extend it for another 12 months.

But the Blues prepared to cash in on him now, despite being one of the club’s most consistent performers in a tough 2025/26 campaign.

Chalobah made 47 appearances in all competitions, and was ultimately rewarded with a late World Cup call-up for England.

He was a late replacement for Tino Livramento after the Newcastle man suffered a calf injury, and made his tournament debut in the Three Lions’ crazy 6-4 third-place play-off win over France.
