Arsenal have learned Barcelona will not enter a bidding war to sign Bournemouth star Eli Junior Kroupi, according to reports in Spain.

Kroupi has established himself as one of the best young players in the world following a remarkable 2025-26 campaign with Bournemouth.

The 20-year-old scored 13 Premier League goals last season as the Cherries qualified for the UEFA Europa League by finishing sixth.

Such has been Kroupi’s excellent form in front of goal that Arsenal have developed an interest in the forward, according to BBC Sport.

Another club who have been strongly linked with the France Under-21 international is Barcelona, who are keen to sign a new attacker this summer.

Widespread reports understand Barcelona’s dream signing is Julian Alvarez, though an opening, undisclosed offer has been rejected by Atletico Madrid.

Kroupi continues to be linked as a potential alternative to Alvarez, despite Bournemouth insisting their teen sensation is not for sale.

As speculation continues to swirl, Spanish publication Diario AS claims Barcelona have now made their stance perfectly clear.

The same outlet understands Hansi Flick’s side are not prepared to enter into an auction to sign Kroupi this summer.

Diario AS understands Barcelona are also considering a move for Spain and Real Sociedad striker Mikel Oyarzabal.

Arsenal weighing up options after missing out on main target Rogers

Arsenal meanwhile are plotting their next move after missing out on Morgan Rogers, who is set to join Chelsea from Aston Villa for €137million (£117m).

The Athletic understands the Premier League champions had made Rogers their primary attacking target ahead of the new season.

A separate report from BBC Sport claims Arsenal are continuing to run the rule over Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola.

The same publication understands Mikel Arteta’s side have received encouragement that the France international could be available this summer.

A separate report in L’Equipe claims Barcola will discuss his future with PSG officials this week, with the club valuing him at €150m (£127.6m).
