Harry Kane will lead England into a huge World Cup semi-final against Argentina on Wednesday
Harry Kane is set to lead the line as England face Argentina in a monumental World Cup semi-final on Wednesday. The Bayern Munich frontman has netted six times so far and has the expectations of a nation resting upon his shoulders.
Kane, who previously played for Tottenham Hotspur before moving to Germany, has established himself as a worldwide icon. His eye-catching World Cup performances have followed a hugely successful stint with the Bundesliga giants.
He has scored 146 goals for Bayern so far and won the league title last season, adding to the German championship he won the year before. The Three Lions are now on the cusp of their first World Cup final since 1966.

Harry Kane’s Donald Trump meeting
Kane recently disclosed that he accepted an invitation from Trump to play golf in Florida 18 months previously. Kane characterised the round as a “pretty surreal experience”
Speaking before England’s quarter-final triumph over Norway, Kane said: “When the president invites you somewhere, it was a pretty surreal experience just to meet him and obviously play golf with him.
“His golf is pretty good, to be honest with you. I hope I can play golf as good as him when I’m his age, that’s for sure. A unique experience, but I was just grateful that he invited me to play.”
Trump had previously said: “I think Kane is a great player. I played golf with him and I like him a lot. He’s a good golfer too. He’s really great.”
Harry Kane’s life with wife and kids
Harry Kane and Kate Goodland tied the knot in 2019. The pair first crossed paths while attending Larkswood Primary School, before both going on to study at Chingford Foundation School in Waltham Forest.
The couple have four children together: Ivy Jane Kane, Vivienne Jane, Louis Harry and Henry Edward. Kane has previously acknowledged how fortunate he feels to have found love with Goodland before his rise to footballing stardom.
He told the Evening Standard: “If I was single now and meeting people, you’d never know if they were with you for the right reasons. Is it the money? You’d never really know. So I’m lucky that I’ve got a childhood sweetheart.”
Kane’s departure from north London to Germany in August 2023 saw the striker initially relocate alone, while arrangements were made for his family to follow at a later date.
Now settled in Bavaria, the family reside in a lavish property in one of Munich’s most prestigious neighbourhoods, Grunwald. The area is widely known as the ‘Beverly Hills of Bavaria’, where the family’s expansive ยฃ30million home reportedly sits on the edge of a forest, boasting sweeping views across the river.
Harry Kane’s ยฃ20m ‘Buckingham Palace’-style house
Kane has recently added fuel to rumours that he could be heading back to the UK. The striker has invested an eye-watering ยฃ20m in a Surrey mansion, despite reportedly being in discussions over fresh terms with Bayern.
According to The Sun, work is nearing completion on the property that Kane acquired in 2023 before commencing renovations. It’s understood he purchased the residence for ยฃ6.5m.
He subsequently had the building demolished. The new property is set to include four bedrooms, a ยฃ20,000 car turntable, a cinema, pool, bar, treatment room and a gym.
Some residents have even likened the original blueprints for the dwelling to Buckingham Palace. Kane is anticipated to relocate to the house with his family once his stint overseas reaches its conclusion. The forward remains contracted to Bayern until next summer.
Addressing speculation linking him to other European clubs, Kane said: “My father and brother handle everything, but they haven’t said anything to me. As I’ve already said, I’m very happy here at Bayern. I’m focused on this season and my time at Bayern. I take it as a compliment.”
