WAFU B U-20 Championship: Flying Eagles Draw Ghana, Burkina Faso, Togo In Group B

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles have been drawn with Ghana, Togo, and Burkina Faso in Group B of the WAFU B U-20 Championship, Completesports.com reports.

The draw for the regional tournament, which serves as the qualifying competition for the 2027 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations was held on Wednesday at the headquarters of the West African Football Union (WAFU) Zone B in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire.

The Flying Eagles, and Ghana’s Black Satellites will renew their long-standing rivalry in the group.

Nigeria defeated the Black Satellites 2-1 in the final of the last edition of the competition.

Group A consists of hosts Cote d’Ivoire, Benin and Niger, with the three nations also competing for a place at the continental championship.

The competition will take place from July 26 to August 9, 2026, in Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire.

The Flying Eagles have won the last two editions of the competition.
