OFFICIAL: Arsenal Reach Agreement With Beşiktaş For Permanent Transfer Of Trossard.

Premier League champions Arsenal have confirmed Leandro Trossard is moving to Turkish giants Besiktas.

The Gunners disclosed this in a statement released on their official website on Tuesday.

According to Arsenal, Trossard has been granted permission to travel to Istanbul to undergo a medical.

“We can confirm that we have reached an agreement with Besiktas for the permanent transfer of Leandro Trossard,” Arsenal stated.

“With a transfer fee agreed, Leo, 31, has been granted permission to travel to Istanbul to undergo a medical and complete the formalities of his move to the Turkish Super Lig club.

“We will provide a further update once the transfer has been completed.”

Sky Sports reports that Trossard departs Arsenal in a deal worth £17m, broken up into an initial £15.3m plus £1.7m in add-ons.

The Belgian international became a crucial player in Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal – playing 174 times in three and a half years, scoring 36 goals.

During Arsenal’s title-winning campaign last term, Trossard scored eight goals and registered 11 assists in 50 matches in all competitions, as the Gunners also finished as Champions League runners-up.

Scoring one of the biggest goals in Arsenal’s Premier League history, Leandro Trossard will go down as one of Arsenal’s biggest cult heroes.
